Forest officials rescued a frail 1.5‑year‑old female tiger cub from Kanha Tiger Reserve in Mandla district. The cub is being cared for at the reserve's quarantine centre.
Forest Department teams in Madhya Pradesh’s Kanha Tiger Reserve located a visibly weak female tiger cub estimated to be about one and a half years old. Veterinarians assessed the animal’s condition and decided that immediate rescue was essential to prevent further deterioration.
The cub was carefully captured and transported to the reserve’s on‑site quarantine centre, where a team of wildlife veterinarians has begun a regimen of supportive care, including nutrition, fluid therapy and monitoring for any infections.
