MP Extends TET Application Deadline to Oct 5; 1.5 Lac Teachers Await December Exam

The Madhya Pradesh government has pushed the deadline for the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) application to 5 October, with 19,100 teachers already registered. The exam is slated for the first or second week of December at 55 district headquarters.
The state government announced on Monday that the deadline for submitting applications for the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) has been extended to 5 October 2024. The move is aimed at giving more candidates time to complete the registration process.
So far, 19,100 teachers have applied for the exam, a figure that represents a small fraction of the roughly 1.5 million teachers who are expected to sit for the test.
The TET is scheduled to be conducted in the first or second week of December, with 55 district headquarters across Madhya Pradesh set to host the offline examination.
Teachers who have applied will need to keep an eye on the official notifications for the exact dates and venues, as the exam will be a key step in their career progression within the state’s education system.
