Jalandhar Police Nab Notorious Drug Smuggler, Seize Firearm and Bike

Police in Jalandhar launched an operation after receiving intelligence about a drug smuggling network. The encounter, which lasted only a few minutes, ended with the arrest of a man described as a notorious narcotics dealer. Officers also recovered a single‑handed pistol and a motorcycle believed to be used for transporting illegal substances. The seizure was recorded at the scene and the weapons have been handed over to the crime branch for forensic analysis. The police said the arrest is part of a broader crackdown on drug trafficking that has plagued parts of Punjab in recent years.
