The Enforcement Directorate searched 13 sites across three states, seizing documents related to a Rs 14.55 crore bogus tender network tied to a suspended IAS officer.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has carried out coordinated raids at 13 locations spread over three Indian states, targeting a large‑scale fake tender racket estimated at Rs 14.55 crore. Investigators say the scheme was orchestrated through a network of companies that submitted fabricated bids for government contracts, siphoning public funds.

Authorities have linked the operation to a suspended Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer, whose involvement is under scrutiny. The ED seized a trove of documents, including tender applications, financial records and correspondence that could help trace the flow of money and identify co‑conspirators.

The raids are part of a broader crackdown on corruption in public procurement, a sector that has repeatedly been exploited for personal gain. Officials have not disclosed the names of the states or the exact locations of the searches, citing the sensitivity of the investigation.

Legal experts note that if proven, the alleged misconduct could lead to criminal prosecution under the Prevention of Money‑Laundering Act and related statutes. The suspended officer may also face disciplinary action from the civil services board.

The ED has pledged to continue its probe, emphasizing that any misuse of public resources will be pursued vigorously to restore confidence in government procurement processes.
