Indore Student Loses Rs 1 Lakh in Facebook Loan Scam

A student in Indore fell victim to a cyber fraud after attempting to secure a Rs 1 lakh loan via Facebook. His bank account was emptied after a single click, prompting him to file a complaint with the cybercrime helpline.

A student in Indore has reported a significant financial loss after being defrauded in a loan scam initiated through Facebook. The student sought a loan of Rs 1 lakh advertised on the social media platform.

Upon clicking a link for the loan application, the student's bank account was reportedly emptied. Realizing he had been duped and the loan amount was not forthcoming, the victim promptly contacted the cybercrime helpline to report the incident.

Following the complaint, the Heeranagar police have registered a First Information Report (FIR) and initiated an investigation to apprehend the perpetrators involved in the online fraud.
