Unknown assailants on a motorcycle threw a grenade at a residence in Jatta, Ramdas area of Amritsar on Wednesday night, injuring three people; the army reached the scene before police.
Late Wednesday night, a house in Jatta village of the Ramdas locality in Amritsar district was targeted when unidentified individuals riding a motorcycle lobbed a hand‑grenade onto the premises. The explosion caused damage to the structure and created a panic among nearby residents.
Three occupants of the house sustained injuries ranging from minor shrapnel wounds to more serious cuts. Emergency services were called, and the injured were promptly taken to a local hospital for treatment.
