A wet-lease BEST bus caught fire in the Chembur area of Mumbai, but all passengers and crew escaped unharmed.

A wet-lease BEST bus was seen ablaze on a main road in the Chembur suburb of Mumbai early this morning. Firefighters arrived quickly and managed to control the blaze before it spread to nearby structures.

All passengers and the driver were reported to have disembarked safely, and no injuries were reported. The bus was operating under a wet-lease agreement with BEST.

Police and the BEST administration have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fire. No official statement has yet been released regarding the incident.
