A wall of Arya Putri Higher Secondary School in Ajmer gave way during continuous rain, burying five parked cars. No serious injuries were reported.
Ajmer, Rajasthan – Heavy, uninterrupted rainfall on Thursday caused a structural failure at the Arya Putri Higher Secondary School, located in the city’s Padav area. The school’s outer wall gave way, sending a slab of masonry onto the adjacent parking area.
Five privately‑owned cars that were parked near the school were engulfed by the falling debris. Emergency services arrived within minutes, clearing the wreckage and ensuring that all occupants were safely evacuated.
Local police and municipal officials have launched an inspection of the school’s infrastructure to determine the cause of the collapse and to prevent similar incidents. No fatalities or major injuries were reported, though a few minor bruises were treated on site.
The school administration has temporarily suspended classes while repairs are undertaken, and parents have been advised to stay updated through official channels.
