Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Dhami orders vigilance as red alert declared in several districts

Uttarakhand’s disaster management authority has placed a number of districts under a red alert, signalling an elevated risk of hazardous conditions. In response, Chief Minister Pushkar Dhami issued a directive to all district officials, urging them to maintain heightened vigilance and to ensure that emergency protocols are fully operational.

The CM emphasized that officials should closely monitor weather developments, keep communication channels open, and coordinate with rescue teams to respond swiftly to any incidents. He also instructed local administrations to verify that relief supplies and evacuation routes are ready for immediate deployment if required.

Authorities have been asked to keep the public informed through regular updates, advising residents in the affected districts to stay prepared and follow any safety instructions issued by the government.
