In Ramayan Nagar, Bihar, two young men entered a jewellery shop as customers, struck jeweller Deepak Kumar on the head with a hammer, and fled after attempting to discuss online payment.

In the flood‑affected area of Ramayan Nagar, two young men entered a jewellery shop as customers and, after a brief interaction about viewing jewellery and online payment, struck the shopkeeper Deepak Kumar on the head with a hammer. The assault was captured on the shop’s CCTV footage, which shows the attackers approaching the counter, striking the jeweller, and then fleeing the premises.

Police arrived at the scene shortly after the incident and secured the CCTV footage. The shopkeeper sustained head injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Investigators are currently identifying the attackers from the video and are searching for them in the surrounding area.

The incident has raised concerns about security in local businesses, especially in regions affected by recent floods. Authorities have urged shop owners to enhance surveillance and report any suspicious activity promptly.
