Three masked men broke into the C‑Block, Tagore Garden residence of Congress leader Alka Lamba’s father on Sunday, stealing about ₹1.75 lakh in cash and jewellery, according to CCTV footage.
Early Sunday morning, three men wearing masks entered the C‑Block, Tagore Garden house belonging to the father of Congress leader Alka Lamba. The intruders forced their way into the residence and rummaged through the rooms before fleeing.
CCTV cameras installed in the neighbourhood captured the entire episode, showing the suspects moving through the garden and exiting with a bundle of cash and assorted jewellery. Police estimates place the cash taken at roughly ₹1.75 lakh, along with a number of valuable ornaments.
Delhi police have retrieved the video footage and are analysing it to identify the three individuals. Investigators have also canvassed nearby houses for additional witnesses and are reviewing any other surveillance recordings that might aid the probe. The case remains under active investigation, with authorities urging anyone with information to come forward.
