Tamil Nadu to Set Up 26 New POCSO Courts for Child Protection

The initiative will also include four additional courts dedicated to drug-related offenses. The new courts are expected to streamline the judicial process for sensitive cases and reduce backlogs. Officials said the expansion will improve access to justice for victims and ensure timely hearings. The decision follows growing concerns over child safety and drug abuse in the state.
