Suspected militants are believed to have blown up a PMGSY bridge in Kamjong, Manipur, and set a telecom vehicle ablaze, prompting police to launch an investigation.
Police in Manipur have reported that suspected militants detonated a bridge under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) in the town of Kamjong. The blast reportedly collapsed a section of the road that connects the remote village to the district headquarters.
In addition to the bridge damage, authorities say a telecom vehicle parked nearby was set on fire. The vehicle, belonging to a state telecom company, was found charred with no sign of the driver.
