A State Transport bus driver struck a young moped rider, who later died in hospital after six days of treatment for a head injury.
A State Transport (ST) bus driver hit a moped rider in a road accident, causing the rider to fall and sustain a serious head injury. Emergency services transported the victim to a nearby hospital where doctors began intensive care.
The young rider remained under medical observation for six days. Despite surgical intervention and continuous monitoring, the injuries proved fatal and the patient was declared dead on the sixth day of treatment.
Local police have opened an investigation into the crash to determine the circumstances that led to the collision. The driver has been detained for questioning, and authorities are expected to release a formal report once the inquiry is complete.
