Congress state in‑charge Sachin Pilot will travel across 11 districts of Punjab over five days, meeting families affected by gangster‑related violence.
Congress leader Sachin Pilot has launched a five‑day tour of Punjab, focusing on outreach to families who have lost loved ones in gangster‑related incidents. The trip, announced by the party, aims to gauge the impact of criminal violence on local communities and to signal Congress' commitment to law‑and‑order issues in the state.
During the tour Pilot will visit Moga, Bathinda, Mansa, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Kapurthala, Hoshiarpur, Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Tarn Taran and Amritsar. In each district he is scheduled to hold a brief meeting with affected families, local officials and party workers, followed by a short public address.
The outreach comes as Punjab grapples with a spate of gang‑related killings that have heightened public anxiety. By meeting victims' relatives directly, Pilot hopes to gather first‑hand accounts that could shape the Congress' policy proposals ahead of the upcoming state elections.
