Rajasthan has emerged as the top state in the PM‑KUSUM scheme, achieving the highest decentralized solar capacity and ranking third in the number of solar pumps installed.
The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy released data showing Rajasthan as the leading state in the PM‑KUSUM scheme, with the highest decentralized solar capacity across the country.
In addition to topping the capacity chart, Rajasthan secured the third position in the total count of solar pumps installed under the programme. The state’s farmers now benefit from cleaner, cost‑effective irrigation powered by solar energy.
Officials highlighted that the scheme’s success in Rajasthan is driven by extensive outreach and support for small‑holder farmers, enabling widespread adoption of solar pumps.
The government plans to replicate Rajasthan’s model in other states to accelerate the transition to renewable irrigation solutions.
