New Delhi – The Civil Aviation Minister officially launched the Challenge Mode portal, a digital platform aimed at streamlining participation in the UDAN (Ude Desh Ka Aam Naagrik) regional connectivity programme. The portal is expected to simplify the application process for airlines and operators seeking to operate under the scheme.
During the same event, the minister signed 21 memoranda of understanding with various state governments and private stakeholders. These MoUs outline commitments to develop new air routes, upgrade airport infrastructure and provide financial incentives under the next phase of UDAN.
The initiative is part of the government's broader effort to boost air travel accessibility across tier‑2 and tier‑3 cities, thereby fostering economic growth and tourism.
