Assistant engineer Govind Prasad, arrested for taking a ₹30,000 bribe, had his residence searched by the Anti‑Corruption Bureau, which uncovered more than ₹43 lakh in cash, about 20 kg of silver and several property documents.
The Anti‑Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Rajasthan conducted a raid on the residence of Assistant Engineer Govind Prasad after he was arrested for accepting a bribe of ₹30,000. The operation was part of a broader crackdown on low‑level corruption within public service departments.
During the search, investigators recovered cash amounting to ₹43.38 lakh, along with roughly 20 kg of silver bars. In addition, a collection of documents linking the official to various immovable assets was seized.
ACB officials said the seizure demonstrates the agency's commitment to pursuing illicit wealth accumulation, even when the monetary value of the original offence appears modest. The recovered assets will be attached to the case and may be subject to forfeiture pending court proceedings.
