The National Testing Agency has dismissed around 600 existing experts and will bring in new specialists, while instituting a four‑tier review process for every exam paper to improve quality.
The National Testing Agency announced a sweeping restructuring, removing roughly 600 experts who had been involved in setting and evaluating exam papers. The decision follows the discovery of notable errors in recent national assessments.
To fill the vacancies, NTA will recruit fresh specialists with niche expertise. Concurrently, the agency is relocating some of its offices and tightening security protocols at its premises.
A four‑tier paper‑checking system will be rolled out, requiring each examination paper to pass multiple layers of scrutiny before release. The hierarchy includes initial drafting, internal peer review, external expert validation, and a final audit.
These measures form part of a broader audit and quality‑assurance drive aimed at restoring confidence in the competitive examinations conducted by NTA.
