Nagaland University has entered into Memorandums of Understanding with multiple Japanese agricultural companies, creating a platform for students to undertake a one-year internship in Japan.
The agreements aim to expose Nagaland students to advanced agricultural practices, technology and research methodologies employed by Japanese firms.
Students selected through a competitive process will travel to Japan, where they will work alongside industry professionals, gaining hands‑on experience and cross‑cultural exposure.
The university expects the initiative to strengthen academic ties between Nagaland and Japan and to enhance the employability of its graduates in the global agri‑sector.
The MoUs were signed during a ceremony held at the university campus, with representatives from the Japanese firms and university officials in attendance.
