The Governor of Nagaland inspected the state’s AYUSH hospital and emphasized the need to bolster traditional healthcare services.
Governor Dr. S. K. Singh visited the state’s AYUSH hospital in Kohima on Tuesday, inspecting the facilities and speaking with doctors and patients.
During the tour, he noted the hospital’s efforts to integrate Ayurvedic, Yoga, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathic treatments but highlighted gaps in infrastructure and training.
The governor urged the state government to increase funding, upgrade equipment and expand outreach programmes to make traditional medicine more accessible to rural communities.
He also announced a preliminary plan to conduct a statewide audit of AYUSH centres and to set up a task force for capacity building.
