Muzaffarpur Police Bust Large Theft Gang, Arrest Mastermind Devlal Sahni

Muzaffarpur police in Bihar announced the successful bust of a large theft syndicate that had been breaking into vacant houses across the city. The operation led to the arrest of six individuals, including the alleged mastermind Devlal Sahni, along with five other members of the gang.

According to investigators, the gang specialized in raiding empty properties, stealing cash and valuables, and then converting the proceeds into a scooter and a digital camera. The equipment was reportedly used to produce short video reels, suggesting a motive to gain online visibility or monetary benefit from social media platforms.

Law enforcement officials said the crackdown was the result of a focused investigation that traced the flow of stolen money to the purchase of the scooter and camera. The suspects are currently in custody, and further inquiries are underway to uncover any additional accomplices and recover the stolen assets.
