The state of Meghalaya hosted a PM eVIDYA workshop to boost digital learning in schools, outlining new tools and training for teachers.

Meghalaya's education department convened a workshop under the Prime Minister's eVIDYA programme to advance digital learning across the state. The session brought together school administrators, teachers and technology partners to demonstrate online platforms, e‑content libraries and interactive teaching tools.

Officials highlighted the government's commitment to bridge the digital divide in remote areas, noting that recent infrastructure upgrades have expanded broadband connectivity to many rural schools. Training modules were presented to help teachers integrate digital resources into daily lessons and assess student progress remotely.

The workshop also outlined a phased rollout plan, beginning with pilot schools in the capital and gradually extending to all districts. Stakeholders were urged to adopt the new tools promptly to ensure that Meghalaya's students keep pace with national digital education standards.
