Man Sets Himself Ablaze Over Property Dispute in Amritsar, Succumbs During Hospitalisation

A resident of Amritsar ignited himself during a property conflict and later died while receiving medical care.
Police in Amritsar reported that a man set himself on fire while arguing over a property dispute. The incident occurred in a residential neighbourhood and was witnessed by several by‑standers who called emergency services.
Paramedics arrived promptly and extinguished the flames, after which the victim was rushed to a nearby government hospital. Doctors confirmed severe burns covering a large portion of his body and began intensive treatment.
Despite aggressive medical intervention, the man succumbed to his injuries while under observation. Authorities have registered a case of self‑immolation and are probing the circumstances that led to the act.
