Khargone: Illegal liquor worth Rs 13.13 lakh seized from Mahindra Thar

Excise department officials intercepted a Mahindra Thar on the Agra-Mumbai highway, seizing 243 bulk liters of illicit Indian and foreign liquor. The driver abandoned the vehicle and fled.
In a significant operation, the Khargone Excise Department has confiscated a substantial quantity of illegal liquor. Acting on specific intelligence, a team intercepted a luxury Mahindra Thar vehicle on the Agra-Mumbai National Highway.
During the search, officials discovered and seized 243 bulk liters of illicit Indian and foreign liquor. The estimated value of the seized liquor and the vehicle has been put at approximately Rs 13.13 lakh.
The driver of the vehicle, however, managed to evade capture. As the excise team initiated the blockade, the driver abandoned the Mahindra Thar and fled the scene, leaving the contraband behind.
