The Crime Investigation Department of Jharkhand has detained Sameer Kumar for alleged irregularities in the JSSC Combined Graduate Level exam.

Jharkhand's Crime Investigation Department (CID) announced on Tuesday that it has taken into custody Sameer Kumar in connection with alleged irregularities in the recent JSSC Combined Graduate Level (CGL) examination. The arrest was made following a preliminary inquiry that uncovered possible manipulation of answer sheets and unauthorized access to exam materials.
The JSSC CGL exam, conducted by the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission, is a competitive test for recruitment to various state government posts. Authorities say the alleged misconduct could undermine the fairness of the selection process and affect the credibility of the commission.
CID officials confirmed that Sameer Kumar is being held for questioning and that further investigation will determine whether additional individuals were involved. The department has not disclosed the exact nature of the evidence but indicated that forensic analysis of the exam papers is underway. Legal proceedings are expected to follow, with the suspect likely to be presented before a magistrate within the next 48 hours.
