The Jaipur Literature Festival will celebrate its 20th anniversary from 14 to 18 January 2027, under the theme “20 Years of Ideas, Stories and Dialogue.”
Jaipur, Rajasthan – The city’s flagship literary gathering, the Jaipur Literature Festival, is set to mark two decades of cultural dialogue with its 20th edition scheduled from 14 to 18 January 2027. Organisers have chosen the theme “20 Years of Ideas, Stories and Dialogue” to reflect on the festival’s evolution and its role in fostering literary exchange across languages and borders.
The five‑day programme will feature a mix of author talks, panel discussions, book launches and performances at venues across Jaipur, including the historic City Palace and the Jawahar Kala Kendra. Participants are expected to include prominent Indian and international writers, poets, journalists and scholars, though specific line‑ups have not yet been disclosed.
Since its inception in 2006, the festival has grown into one of the world’s largest free‑entry literary events, attracting thousands of readers and tourists each year.
