Jaipur Jail Raid Yields Mobile Phones from Four Inmates

A sudden raid was conducted in the cells of Jaipur Central Jail on Tuesday, leading to the discovery of mobile phones and SIM cards in the possession of four inmates. The search, carried out by the jail's internal security unit, was reportedly prompted by intelligence reports of contraband circulation within the prison.

The seized devices were found in the personal lockers of the inmates, who had been serving sentences for various offenses. Police officials confirmed that the phones were in working condition and that the SIM cards were active.

Following the raid, the Redkoothi Police Station filed a First Information Report (FIR) to investigate the source of the contraband and to identify any external accomplices. The investigation will also look into the possibility of a broader smuggling network operating within the jail.

While the raid focused on the mobile seizure, authorities also noted that a prisoner who had been granted a day of parole failed to return on time, a separate matter that is being investigated concurrently.
