An IndiGo flight scheduled for Delhi aborted its journey and returned to Goa after a technical issue was detected.
A scheduled IndiGo service bound for Delhi was forced to abort its take‑off from Goa and circle back to Dabolim Airport after the crew identified a technical malfunction. The aircraft, carrying passengers and crew, complied with standard safety protocols and landed safely without any reported injuries.
Airline officials confirmed that the fault was related to the aircraft's systems, prompting an immediate decision to return rather than continue the flight. Passengers were briefed on the ground and arrangements were made for alternate travel options.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has been notified, and a technical inspection of the plane will be conducted before it is cleared for further operations. IndiGo stated that passenger safety remains its top priority and that the incident is being handled in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
The disruption is expected to cause minor delays in the airline's schedule for the day, but no further cancellations have been reported at this stage.
