Heavy Rain Submerges Small Rapta Bridge on Narmada River in Mandla

Continuous heavy rainfall in Mandla has pushed the Narmada River above its danger level, submerging the small rapta bridge under 5-6 feet of water. Several ghats and temples have also been inundated, prompting the administration to barricade the area and deploy home guard and SDERF teams.
Mandla district in Madhya Pradesh experienced persistent heavy rainfall over the past few days, causing the Narmada River to rise sharply.
The water level crossed the danger mark, flooding the small rapta bridge completely. Reports indicate that the river is flowing about five to six feet above the bridge deck.
As a result, several ghats and temples located along the riverbank have been submerged, affecting local residents and pilgrims.
In response, the district administration has set up barricades around the affected zones and deployed home guard personnel along with the State Disaster Emergency Response Force (SDERF) team for monitoring and safety.
