Heavy Rain Hits North India, Six Dead in Uttar Pradesh

Heavy rain swept through several states in North India on Tuesday, flooding roads, halting public transport and affecting daily activities. The downpour was most severe in Uttar Pradesh, where waterlogged streets and swollen rivers created hazardous conditions.

Local authorities reported that six fatalities were confirmed in Uttar Pradesh as a result of the storm. Rescue teams were deployed to assist stranded residents and to clear debris from critical routes.

The meteorological department has issued warnings for continued rainfall in the region and advised citizens to avoid non-essential travel until conditions improve.
