Heavy Rain Alerts Issued for Six Madhya Pradesh Districts as Monsoon Remains Active

Madhya Pradesh’s monsoon system has entered a vigorous phase, with two distinct weather patterns forming over the state’s upper region. Meteorological forecasts indicate that these systems will sustain a spell of rain for the next four days.

The state’s weather department has issued heavy‑rain alerts for six districts – Nivadi, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur, Panna, Satna and Rewa – starting Monday. Authorities have warned residents to stay prepared for intense downpours and possible water‑logging.

In anticipation of the forecast, officials have opened the gates of several reservoirs to manage rising water levels and mitigate flood risk. The proactive measures aim to protect life and property while the monsoon continues its active phase across the region.
