Snack giant Haldiram's announced a ₹1,000 crore investment to set up a new manufacturing facility in Odisha, aiming to boost capacity and create jobs.

Haldiram's, one of India's leading snack manufacturers, disclosed a plan to invest ₹1,000 crore in a new production plant in Odisha. The capital will fund the construction of a state‑of‑the‑art facility designed to meet growing demand for its product range.
The plant will expand capacity for sweets, namkeens and ready‑to‑eat items and will be sited in an industrial zone within the state, though the exact location has not been disclosed.
Company officials said the project will generate several thousand jobs, both during the building phase and once the factory is operational, supporting Odisha's broader industrial growth agenda.
The investment aligns with Haldiram's strategy to deepen its footprint in eastern India and to cater to rising domestic consumption of packaged snacks.
Analysts view the move as a vote of confidence in Odisha's business climate, which has attracted multiple large‑scale manufacturing projects in recent years.
