Elderly Patient Walks from Hospital to Vote in Behror Municipal Elections

Despite being hospitalized, a senior citizen reached a polling booth in Behror and cast his vote in the second phase of the municipal elections.
The second phase of the urban local body elections is under way in Kotputli‑Behror district, with voting taking place in Behror Nagar Parishad as well as the municipalities of Nimrana and Bardod. A total of 66,896 registered voters across 55 wards are scheduled to vote at 69 polling stations.
Among the voters, an elderly patient who had been receiving treatment at a local hospital walked to a nearby polling booth after discharge. The senior citizen’s decision to vote, despite recent health challenges, was noted by election officials as a vivid example of civic commitment.
Election authorities confirmed that the voting process is proceeding smoothly, with security and health protocols in place at each centre. The turnout from the 69 stations will be tallied after the close of polls on Saturday.
