Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has launched the 'Delhi Ko Kude Se Azadi – Swachhta Abhiyan 2026', aiming to improve cleanliness across the capital.
The Delhi government today marked a significant step toward a cleaner city with the launch of the "Delhi Ko Kude Se Azadi – Swachhta Abhiyan 2026". Chief Minister Rekha Gupta unveiled the initiative during a press conference held at the capital’s central municipal office.
The campaign, set to run through 2026, focuses on eliminating litter from streets, parks and public spaces. It will involve coordinated efforts from municipal workers, local NGOs and citizen volunteers, with a strong emphasis on waste segregation and recycling.
Officials say the programme will also introduce new waste‑management infrastructure and educational drives to raise awareness among residents about the importance of keeping Delhi clean. The CM expressed confidence that the initiative will make a lasting impact on the city’s hygiene standards.
