Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav conducted an on‑site inspection of the Neelganga to Nanakheda road widening project in Ujjain and assessed the readiness for the upcoming Singhsth‑2028 event, urging timely, quality completion.

Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh – On Sunday, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav visited the stretch between Neelganga and Nanakheda to personally oversee the ongoing road widening works. The inspection covered the progress of earthwork, pavement laying and drainage improvements aimed at expanding the two‑lane highway to a four‑lane corridor.

During the visit, the CM also took stock of the logistical and infrastructural preparations for the upcoming Singhsth‑2028 cultural and sports festival, which is slated to be hosted in the region. He emphasized that both the road project and the event facilities must meet prescribed quality standards and be completed within the stipulated timelines.

The minister instructed the state Public Works Department and local contractors to accelerate work where needed, ensure adherence to safety norms, and coordinate with municipal authorities to minimize disruption to commuters. He pledged continued monitoring until the projects reach completion.

State officials reported that the road widening is expected to improve connectivity for pilgrims and tourists heading to the Singhsth venue, while also boosting trade routes across central Madhya Pradesh.
