Gujarat health officials confirmed three Chandipura cases, two of which have died, pushing the state death toll to 28.
The Gujarat health department reported three laboratory‑confirmed cases of Chandipura virus, a rare encephalitic infection, in the state this week. Two of the patients have succumbed to the disease, raising the overall death count from the outbreak to 28.
