After 20 days, the body of Soni Mish was exhumed from a grave in Amritsar, following his sister’s earlier doubts about his death.
The body of Soni Mish was exhumed from a burial site in Amritsar on Monday, 20 days after his reported death. Local police confirmed the removal and said the body was recovered in a state of decomposition. The exhumation was carried out under the supervision of a forensic team.
Sonia Mish’s sister, who had publicly expressed doubts about the circumstances of his death, had requested an investigation into the matter. She had previously stated that she suspected foul play and had urged authorities to look into the case more closely.
Police officials said that an inquiry has been launched to determine the cause of death and whether any procedural lapses occurred during the burial. They assured the public that the investigation would be conducted transparently and that any findings would be shared with the Mish family.
