Bikaner Police Seize 650g Ambergris Worth Rs 65 Lakh, Detain Three

Military Intelligence, CID-CB and Kotgate police jointly recovered about 650 grams of ambergris in Bikaner, valued at approximately Rs 65 lakh. One adult and two minors were detained in connection with the seizure.
The joint operation was conducted by Military Intelligence, CID-CB and the Kotgate police in Bikaner. Acting on specific information, the teams carried out a raid that led to the recovery of the contraband.
Officials said the seized ambergris weighed around 650 grams and its market value is estimated at about Rs 65 lakh. The substance, which is derived from sperm whales, is prohibited from trade under Indian wildlife protection laws.
Following the seizure, one adult suspect was arrested while two minors were taken into custody for questioning. All three are being held under relevant legal provisions and further investigation is underway.
