The state government of Bihar announced a plan to employ geographic information system (GIS) technology to create detailed maps of routes used by wildlife traffickers.

Officials said the GIS database will integrate satellite imagery, field surveys and intelligence inputs, and will be updated regularly to reflect changes in trafficking patterns.
