The state government has integrated 968 police stations across Bihar with the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems (CCTNS), enhancing real‑time data sharing.
The Bihar government announced that 968 police stations across the state are now connected to the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems (CCTNS). This integration brings the state's law‑enforcement infrastructure in line with the national digital policing framework. CCTNS, a nationwide initiative, enables police units to access and share criminal records, FIRs and investigation updates instantly. Officials said the move will improve response times, facilitate better coordination among districts, and aid in crime analysis. The rollout is part of a broader effort to modernise policing and strengthen public safety in Bihar.
