The Enforcement Unit of the Union (EOU) raided five locations of Darbhanga’s Block Development Officer Anand Kumar Vibhuti, uncovering assets worth 121% more than his declared income, including 16 land plots and four luxury vehicles.
Darbhanga district officials reported that the Enforcement Unit of the Union (EOU) conducted simultaneous raids on five premises linked to Block Development Officer Anand Kumar Vibhuti. The operation, carried out under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, targeted the officer’s residential and office locations in the Bahadurpur area of the district.
Preliminary findings disclosed that Vibhuti’s total holdings exceed his legitimate earnings by 121 percent. Investigators seized sixteen land parcels spread across the district and four high‑end automobiles, all of which were not accounted for in his declared income statements.
Vibhuti has served in the BDO post for twelve years, a tenure during which his reported salary and allowances have been modest. The disparity between his official earnings and the amassed assets has prompted a formal inquiry, with the EOU indicating that further forensic accounting and legal action may follow.
