Abhijeet Dipke Criticises Cockroach Effigy in Delhi as ‘Free Publicity’

A large cockroach effigy was unveiled in Delhi’s Pitampura area, sparking debate over its intended message. The Shri Keshav Ramlila Committee said the sculpture was meant to highlight the need for cleanliness in line with Swachh Bharat and Swachh Delhi initiatives. Actor Abhijeet Dipke, however, took to social media to label the effigy a free publicity stunt, suggesting it was a subtle jab at the committee’s campaign. The post quickly went viral, with many netizens echoing Dipke’s criticism and questioning the committee’s motives.
