In the third T20I between India and Zimbabwe, Yash Thakur executed a spectacular one‑handed return catch that dismissed batsman Sikandar Raza, helping India secure a decisive win.

India faced Zimbabwe in the third match of the T20I series at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. The Indians needed a quick finish to seal the series after a narrow win in the second game.

With Zimbabwe batting first, Sikandar Raza was on 32 runs when he attempted a lofted drive. Yash Thakur, fielding at mid‑wicket, collected the ball in one hand and made a swift return catch, pulling the ball cleanly into the outfield. The catch was a textbook example of speed and reflex, and it ended Raza’s innings.

The dismissal proved pivotal, as Zimbabwe were bowled out for 122, giving India a comfortable chase. India won the match by 9 wickets, clinching the series 2‑1. Thakur’s catch was highlighted by commentators as one of the best fielding moments of the series.

India’s captain praised Thakur’s effort, noting that the catch had a huge psychological impact on the Zimbabwean side. The win also secured India a spot in the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup qualifiers.
