The West Bengal government’s latest industrial policy promises 100% EPF coverage for ten years and up to 120% investment support for women‑owned MSMEs, with funds to be released within 90 days.
The West Bengal government has unveiled a new industrial policy aimed at strengthening micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and encouraging greater female participation in the sector.
Under the scheme, women entrepreneurs operating MSMEs will receive full EPF contributions from the state for a period of ten years, effectively covering 100% of the statutory employee provident fund requirement.
In addition, the policy offers investment subsidies that can reach up to 120% of the approved project cost, with the pledged amount to be disbursed within 90 days of approval, thereby accelerating cash flow for eligible businesses.
Officials say the measures are designed to attract more women‑led enterprises, generate employment and position West Bengal as a hub for inclusive industrial growth.
