Vice President Radhakrishnan underscored the strategic significance of Arunachal Pradesh in a recent statement, calling the state a linchpin in India’s border defence architecture.
He pointed out that the region borders the Line of Actual Control with China, making its terrain and infrastructure crucial for monitoring and rapid deployment of forces.
The vice‑president urged the central and state governments to accelerate development projects, including roads, airstrips and communication networks, to bolster security and improve the lives of local communities.
He concluded that a strong presence in Arunachal not only deters external threats but also reinforces India’s resolve to protect its sovereign borders.
