Vande Bharat Festival Special to Run Between New Delhi and Patna in October‑November

Indian Railways announced a dedicated Vande Bharat Festival Special to address the surge in passenger traffic during the upcoming festive season. The service will link the national capital, New Delhi, with Patna, the capital of Bihar, using a 16-coach train.

The special is scheduled to run throughout October and November, making 18 round trips in each direction. Each journey will follow the regular New Delhi‑Patna route, offering the high‑speed, air‑conditioned comfort associated with Vande Bharat trains.

The initiative is part of the railways' broader effort to ease congestion on busy corridors during holidays, providing faster travel times and additional capacity for festival‑goers.

Tickets for the Festival Special will be available on the IRCTC portal and at designated railway booking counters, with fares aligned to the standard Vande Bharat pricing.

Railway officials expect the extra services to improve passenger experience and reduce crowding on existing trains on the Delhi‑Patna corridor.
