US Senator Rubio Visits India to Address Global Energy Crunch

Senator Marco Rubio arrived in New Delhi on Tuesday, marking the first high‑profile U.S. visit focused on energy cooperation since the pandemic. The senior Republican legislator said the global energy crunch, driven by supply constraints and rising demand, requires closer collaboration between the United States and India. During his brief itinerary, Rubio met with officials from the Ministry of Power and the Ministry of Commerce to discuss joint initiatives in renewable energy and energy security. The visit is expected to pave the way for future agreements that could help both nations mitigate the impact of the worldwide energy shortage.
