US F-35 Jets Join Multinational ‘Tarang Shakti 2026’ Exercise in Jodhpur

The Indian Air Force has launched the multinational air exercise “Tarang Shakti 2026” at its base in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, expanding the drill’s international participation. For the first time, United States Air Force F‑35 stealth fighters have been integrated into the exercise, flying alongside Indian aircraft and those of other partner nations. Around 40 countries are now involved, aiming to improve interoperability, share tactical expertise and showcase collective air power in the region. Officials noted that the inclusion of the fifth‑generation F‑35 platform underscores deepening defence cooperation between India and the United States. The drills are scheduled to continue over the coming weeks with additional joint sorties planned.
