Union Minister Kiren Rijiju told PTI that Arunachal Pradesh University requires additional land and upgraded infrastructure to accommodate its growth.
Union Minister Kiren Rijiju highlighted the pressing need for expansion at Arunachal Pradesh University during a recent press interaction, stating that the existing campus is inadequate for the institution's projected growth.
He stressed that securing additional land and introducing modern facilities—such as upgraded laboratories, a larger library, and digital classrooms—are essential to raise academic standards and attract research initiatives.
Rijiju called on both the state government and central agencies to prioritize funding and land allocation so the university can meet the educational aspirations of the region.
The minister added that strengthening higher‑education infrastructure in the Northeast aligns with the broader goal of inclusive development across the country.
